Polina Pober (born 1979) is a visual artist working primarily with painting and mixed media.
Her artistic path is closely connected to the cities she has lived in: Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg,
Moscow, Tel Aviv, and Riga.
She received her initial art education in Russia, studying painting at the Novosibirsk Academy
of Architecture
and Art. She graduated from Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University and later earned a second degree in psychology from Saint Petersburg State University.
In 2006, Polina moved to Israel, where she studied visual arts at the Open University of Israel
and worked for several years in the studio of illustrator Wolf Bulba, a member of the Israel Painters
and Sculptors Association.
Since 2014, she has been based in Latvia and currently lives and works between Riga and Turin.
Her practice is centered on painting and mixed media, alongside narrative and illustrative projects developed as a separate line of work.
In her paintings, Polina focuses on states of silence, presence, and fragile balance, creating works
that function as “stories without words” and remain open to individual interpretation.
